Cattle

We have a suckler herd of mainly Stabiliser cross cows which we put to a Hereford bull to produce Hereford beef for Waitrose. We also manage the Mouboon herd of pedigree Herefords for the Cassell family

Suckler Herd

Our herd of mainly Stabiliser and Blegian Blue cross cows calve in the spring. We use a Hereford bull on our cows to produce the best quality beef reared nearly entirely on grass.

Finishing cattle

The calves from our suckler herd are weaned in the autumn, housed for the first winter and fed on grass silage. The following spring the cattle are turned out to grass and then sold to Dovecote Park where they are sold to Waaitrose to be sold under their Hereford beef lable

Pedigree Herefords

We manage the Mouboon herd of pedigree Herefords for the Cassell family
